All Paramedic and EMT positions are also Firefighters. Massachusetts State Firefighter I/II training preferred but not necessary to apply. You MUST be a Paramedic or EMT to submit an application.
Fire Alarm Operators must be have a Basic Tele-Communicator Certificate and an EMD Certificate.
Applicants must meet the basic qualifications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic as determined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These basic qualifications include:
*Be at least 19 years of age at the time of application.
*Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license at the time of application.
*Possess a High School Diploma or have a G.E.D.
*Certification at time of application for Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic.
*Must be free of felony convictions.
*Must be able to pass the Massachusetts Firefighter Physical Ability Test
*Must be able to pass Fitness Medical Examination
