Join us in welcoming Yarmouth resident, Josie, to provide you with common alteration and sewing needs. Appointments begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday by calling 508-394-7606 X 1330. All projects will be completed and ready to pick up on the following Wednesday. Please call in and leave a message for quote on drapes and dust ruffles.
Bereavement Support Group
The Yarmouth Senior Center and VNA Hospice bereavement support program are pleased to offer a supportive environment, share with others who are also grieving, and learn new coping strategies. This ongoing, confidential, bi-monthly group is open to anyone who has lost a loved one through death. It is facilitated by Nancy Higgins, LICSW, Bereavement Counselor, VNA Hospice. The group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM. If you have any specific questions about this group, please call Nancy Higgins, LICSW, at 508-957-7715.
Blood Pressure Clinic
Every Wednesday from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. Schedule is on a first-come, first-served basis, with the Clinic closing promptly at 1:00 PM. No late arrivals.
Consumer Assistance Council
Stands up for consumer rights, cuts through red tape, gets answers and results, all provided at no charge to the consumer and conveniently located in Hyannis. Call 1-800-867- 0701 or 1-508-771-0700.

American Legion Post #197 Meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of each month from 2:00 PM-4:30 PM at our Center. All Vets are welcome. Please call Forrest Thorpe at 508-367-5740 for information. Please bring old flags into the Senior Center so that we may dispose of them reverently.
Medical Equipment Loans
“CALL IN ADVANCE” Pick-up & Drop-off accepted from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM We maintain a rotating supply of medical equipment for Yarmouth seniors to borrow. Call our reception desk X1330 with your request, and we will try to help you. While we do appreciate donations of durable medical equipment, all equipment must be inspected, MUST be clean and in good condition. Broken or unclean equipment will not be accepted. Currently we are no longer accepting commodes, walkers without wheels, or crutches; but we are accepting donations of adjustable canes (only), shower chairs, transfer benches and wheelchairs. Routine Foot Care > Accepting New Clients <
is scheduled monthly at our Center. Diabetics must see an MD/Podiatrist. Services provided by licensed nurses, and each appointment is 30 minutes at $30.00. Scheduled appointments are on Tuesday, October 11th; Thursday, October 13th; Friday, October 14th and Thursday, October 20th.
Arrangements may be scheduled for home visits for $50.00. Please call our Center, at 508-394-7606, X1330 in advance to schedule an appointment.
Nu-Voice of Cape Cod
Nu-Voice Club of Cape Cod-a social and support group for
laryngectomees holds monthly meetings at our Center at
11:00 AM every second Thursday of the month. No meeting

Attention Dads and Grand Dads -Eric Hauck will host Lower/Outer Cape Dads’ Talk (usually the first Wednesday each month) at the Harwich Community Center from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. There's always free dinner and child care for those who need it. The Community Center is at 100 Oak Street in Harwich. I highly recommend attending this group. 2nd Wednesday of Each Month at 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Barnstable Sr. Center, 825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis. AGA provides information & support to grandparents who feel alienated or estranged from access to their grandchildren. Group participation is free.
