May 2018 Town Meeting approved the funding for Facility Design and Engineering of a New Public Works Facility to replace the current facility located at 507 Buck Island Road, West Yarmouth.
A DPW Building Committee was commissioned in September of 2018 by the Board of Selectman The committee met regularly with the Design Engineers and Project Manager. The design is complete and the project went out to bid in August 2019.
Fall Town Meeting on October 29, 2019 (Article 2) and November 5, 2019 (Ballot Question) approved the funding of $16,235,435 for the new Department of Public Works Facility with an actual bid in hand. The General Contractor has been awarded to G.V.W. Inc. The Design & Engineering firm is Weston & Sampson. The OPM (Owners Project Manager) is Environmental Partners.
