Shellfish License
A copy of the Yarmouth rules and regulations for shellfish, eel, herring and crab may be obtained clicking here for the Commercial Shellfish Regulations.
A recreational shellfish license is purchased yearly and is valid from April to March of each calender year. Licenses may be purchased at the Town Clerks Office during regular business hours.
Residential Shellfish License Costs
- Residents under 75 years of age $30.00
- Resident Seniors 75 years of age and over $15.00
- Non-Residents $80.00
- Veterans Providing DD214 $30.00

Town staff cannot take payments by phone. Please call City Hall Systems at 508-381-5455 to pay by phone. eCheck is free, credit or debit payments will include a 2.95% service fee (minimum $1.00).
Town Hall Drop Box
Town Hall is located at 1146 Route 28, South Yarmouth. The Town Hall Drop Box is located at the side entrance to the building by the parking area. Checks and money order are accepted in the Drop Box. Please include the information mentioned on the application. Please do not use cash when using the Drop Box.
