Purpose: Established for the preservation, protection and development of the historical and archeological assets of the Town. The Commission conducts research for places of historic or archeological value, cooperates with state archeologists, and seeks to coordinate the activities of unofficial bodies organized for similar purposes. It may advertise, prepare, print and distribute written materials which it deems necessary for its work. Makes recommendations for the preservation of historic sites or objects to the Board of Selectmen.
