What's New in the Assessor's Office?

The next Board of Assessors meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2017.

​The due date for payment of the 2nd half of the 2017 real estate and personal property tax bills is Monday, May 1, 2017.  These notices were issued in late February.

​The 2nd commitment of motor vehicle excise bills has been issued.  Payment is due by Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  Also, all motor vehicle excise bills from the 1st commitment that were due Thursday, March 9, 2017 and are currently unpaid will be going on demand very soon.  This will add additional fees and interest to your bill, so we encourage you to pay them as soon as you can.

​The filing deadline for FY2017 real estate tax statutory exemptions and tax deferrals has passed.  We will begin accepting applications for FY2018 exemptions and tax deferrals on Monday, July 3, 2017 and will continue accepting them until Monday, April 2, 2018.  Residents who received a FY2017 exemption or deferral can expect a new application in their mail by late June.

​​Residents who live in maps 42, 48, 50, 51 and 52 in Zone C should expect a cyclical inspection visit before the end of April of 2017.  Please check the Cyclical Inspections page for details!
