Why does the YFD send out an Ambulance and a Fire Engine to a 911 phone call?
When there is an advanced life support call there needs to be a minimum of four or more people to respond. This is also determined by the Shift Commander.

Open burning season starts January 15th and ends May 1st.

May I get a permit at any of the three stations?
Permits can only be obtained at Station 1 Headquarters at 96 Old Main Street in South Yarmouth. Business hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday only.
