The function of the Tax Collector’s office is to collect all receivables committed by warrants and to follow the Massachusetts General Laws under Chapter 60, for the Town of Yarmouth.

Customer Service:  Responding to Taxpayers, mortgage companies, attorneys and the general public by telephone and in office regarding all accounts and providing general information relating to the Town of Yarmouth and taxes.  Municipal Lien certificates providing the status of real estate taxes are prepared when properties are sold or refinanced.  Certificates of discharge are also prepared to remove a betterment lien when paid in full.

Billing & Collections:
For Real Estate, Personal Property Taxes, CPA, Motor Vehicle Taxes, Sewer Betterments, Water Collections, Boat Excise, Transfer Station, Scholarship Fund, Septage Treatment Plant and Landfill.  The Tax Collector's Office interacts with many Town Departments checking whether applicants are current with taxes.

Return payments will be sent to a bank lockbox service @ P.O. Box 745, Reading, Ma. 01867-0405.

The Town of Yarmouth has put in place an online capability to view and pay water bills.

The credit and debit card fee for using this method of payment is 2.5%.  For a bill of $21 you will be charged 52 cents if you use your credit or debit card.

For Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT using your checking account) the fee is $3.00 no matter how large the charge.

You will need the account number on your water bill to be able to pay your water bill.
