Motor Vehicle Excise Tax information is received from the Registry of Motor Vehicles according to the information of the motor vehicle registration. Approximately 24,000 excise bills are mailed annually in the Town of Yarmouth.

Payments on motor vehicle excise are due 30 days from date of issue and will accrue interest on the 31st day at the rate of 12%. A demand charge of $25.00 will also be added to unpaid bills.

Unpaid Excise bills are marked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, who then will not renew a driver’s license or car registration in the United States.
