Purpose: To advise the Board of Selectmen on matters pertaining to the improvement and protection of water resources. Charged with developing a plan to improve and protect water resources. The committee will interact and work cooperatively with State and Federal agencies, especially in relation to DEP (MA Department of environmental Protection) subsidized Estuaries Study and to understand the affects of wastewater discharges from septic systems and other nitrogen contributors on Yarmouth estuaries, as well as groundwater. |
