From the DirectorHi, all: October already – seems like we just had July (?) Autumn on Cape Cod has its loveliness as I am sure you’ll agree. The colors are changing and the air is crisp. Still some great boating days this month, too. Oh, and have you had your flu shot? Fall is a great time to get that done, too. I waited in line for the drive-by session sponsored by the Barnstable County Public Health Nurses Division on Saturday, September 26. It was a well-organized, simple process and I was fortunate to miss the initial rush, arriving around 9:30 – and was back on the road by 10:15 a.m. I did tell the nurses that I thought their work was wonderful, and now I can check that off my to-do list! -Jane Cain Library Director

Libraries Reopened, with some LimitsAs you may be aware, the Library reopened, with limited hours, the week of September 21. We are delighted to see many of our regular visitors, and to be able to share our new books, movies and more with the public again. It was a challenging summer and the Library staff is to be commended for keeping as many services available to the public as possible. Curbside pickup has been a popular option for many, and we ramped up our outreach delivery capabilities for anyone who is unable or who prefers not to come in. Call the Library if you are looking for museum pass information. Many of our local venues have also reopened on a limited basis, and are using codes that we can share with you, rather than printed passes.
