From the Director:Happy to be here on the beautiful Cape in July – and we’re happy to be back fully open for business! It is so good to see people in our buildings and in pursuit of reading, listening, and watching whatever they choose at the Library. This year’s Summer Reading program kicks off on July 7 with an Amazing Animal Ambassadors outdoor event at the West Yarmouth Library and there will be lots of outdoor activities and adventures with a Tails & Tales theme. You’ll notice two new Little Free Libraries at Smugglers/Bass River Beach and Seagull Beach this summer. We thank Ed Garvey for his handiwork in providing all the materials and building us new boxes. Enjoy this month and this newsletter. Be sure to find us online at www.yarmouthlibraries.org and on social media, too. -Jane Cain Library Director

Staff Pick:Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou Elizabeth Holmes is the founder and CEO of Theranos, and her goal was to revolutionize the healthcare industry. This is a detailed account of the (perceived) rise and demise of Theranos, her blood-testing startup once valued at nearly $9B. The public didn’t know about Theranos’ deception until Carreyrou broke the story as a reporter at the Wall Street Journal. Thank you to the brave whistle-blowers who exposed the fraud.
