Supplies are available for creating beasts and more.
Sculpt a Fantastic Beast with polymer clay, for Teens
ages 12-18.

Design your own Spinning Chromatrope, for ages 5-11.
These are drop-in activities that you can complete in the Library or take home.

There are 21 beasts lurking in the South Yarmouth Library. Each time you visit, when you find a beast, let us know and we will enter your name for a chance to win 2 free movie tickets. One entry per day, per person.

Meet the Candidates

The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business After Hours next Wednesday, May 11, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Yarmouth House located at 335 Route 28 in West Yarmouth. Invited are all of the candidates running for elected seats, including Select Board, School Committee and State Representatives. There will be no formal agenda and all are welcome. Appetizers and a cash bar will be available.

Art Wall in May

The May artist on display at the South Yarmouth Library is Jan Darcy. Growing up, she traveled to Barnstable village from DC every summer to visit grandparents for a week or two. Now that she lives on the Cape, Jan gets to enjoy the ocean, the waves, and all the natural beauty of this special place. If she could, she would paint everything in sight because painting "allows you to dwell in the space and beauty you see around you."

Interested in getting involved?

The Yarmouth Library Planning Committee (LPC), appointed by the Board of Selectmen in 2019, explores options for modern library services in the town of Yarmouth with a focus on library facilities. The group has been meeting each month on Zoom this past year.
