Summer Reading "Oceans of Possibilities"Our Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” is now in full swing. There are activities and programs for all ages. It’s not too late to sign up. Register online by downloading the Beanstack app to your device. You may also register in person at the Library. You will receive a reading log to record your time reading, write book reviews and earn badges. Everyone who records their reading, in either format, will be eligible for rewards.
“Oceans of Possibilities” is sponsored by the Yarmouth Town Libraries and funded by the South Yarmouth Library Association and the West Yarmouth Library Association.

We will gather at West Yarmouth Library on the lawn, weather permitting. Appropriate for all ages. Children under 10 years old need to bring an adult. Featured games include: - Giant Jenga

Pitter Patter Puppets Performed by Mary WilsonMonday, July 18, 11:00 a.m. for all ages. At South Yarmouth Library under the gazebo, weather permitting. If there is bad weather, we will gather inside. Enjoy an interactive puppet variety show, sure to entertain children and adults. With songs, silly stories, and audience participation.

West Yarmouth Library Association Book Sale and the Village Crafters Annual Show Return to West YarmouthThursday, July 21, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Head over to the West Yarmouth Library to take advantage of great prices on gently used books for all ages on Thursday, July 21. This is a fundraiser for the West Yarmouth Library Association. Donations of books, DVDs and CDs in good condition will be accepted from now until July 20. The Village Crafters will also be hold holding their annual craft show at the church next door that day. We thank you for your support.

Cape Cod Maritime Museum: Young Mariners ProgramFriday, July 22, 11:00 a.m. at the South Yarmouth Library Appropriate for 5-year-olds and up. Registration is required. - Knot Tying: Try your hand at tying some knots, like the handy bowline or the twisty monkey's fist. Bonus points if you can tie the bowline with your eyes closed!
- Signal Flags: Back before we had radios or Morse code, sailors communicated through signal flags. Many are still used today. We will dive deep and learn how sailors communicated through these flags. Make your own message and try to decode our secret message!

Cape Cod Learning Tours: Tide Pool Exploration Monday, July 25, 2:30 p.m., at the Packet Landing Pavilion at Bass River Appropriate for ages 5 and up. Children need to bring an adult. Registration is required. Discover the creatures that live in the tide pools along the Bass River with scientist Gil Newton. Please wear appropriate footwear, clothing and sunscreen.

Monday, July 25, Summer Concert Series at Parker’s River Beach, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Off the Bar Brass BandAs part of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce’s summer concert series, July 25 brings us a brass band straight out of Brooklyn, New York. Join us for songs from the past 5 decades, in the fresh air of Nantucket Sound. Concerts are held at the Parker’s River Beach and are free for all to enjoy on Monday evenings in the summer.
