From the Director:It is truly Spring on Cape Cod once the marathon evening of Town Meeting has come and gone…and we know it by the warming winds and the lovely skies. My thanks to Mindy Herington, Youth Services Supervisor, who arranged for the patching and painting to be done by Rosa’s Painting here in Yarmouth, on the lower level of the South Yarmouth Library in late April. What a difference it makes! Stay tuned for more changes to our Children’s Room space in the weeks to come. -Jane Cain Library Director

Library Planning Committee UpdatesThe Committee worked with Town Administration to submit a Letter of Intent with the State for an April 28 deadline. This just informs the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners that the Town of Yarmouth is interested in getting in line to apply for a Planning/Renovation/Building grant recently announced. There is a year before the actual application is due. That gives us lots of time to share the research work the Library Study Committee (2015-2018) and the Library Planning Committee (2019-now) have uncovered, and to get community input on what you want and need for library services and where best to provide those programs and services.
