Saturday hours at the West Yarmouth Library will come to an end on September 30 this year.

Elemental Scavenger HuntFriday, September 1 through Saturday, September 30 South Yarmouth Library Children’s Room and Teen Room Ages 5-18 years old Get in your Element Scavenger Hunt. Find the characters from the movie “Elemental” hidden in the Children’s Room and Teen Room. Each will have a letter to use to unscramble the secret message. Submit your entry for a chance to win a prize!

Family Fun DaySaturday, September 9, 2:00 p.m. West Yarmouth Library Fairies are not just for kids. They’re for anyone who loves a little magic and adventure. Make a DIY fairy while enjoying a slice of Australian Fairy Bread. This is a drop-in program. Registration recommended. Visit www.yarmouthlibraries.org and go to the Calendar of Events. In-Person Morning Book Discussion Group Dust Bowl Girls by Linda ReederThursday, September 14, 10:30 a.m. South Yarmouth Library At the height of the Great Depression, the basketball coach of a tiny Oklahoma College recruited talented young women and offered them a chance at a better life: a free college education if they would play for his basketball team. Come discuss this heartwarming true story in person at the Leonard Room of the South Yarmouth Library. Copies of this book are available at both libraries. Switch on the S.T.E.M.Thursday, September 14, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. South Yarmouth Library Children’s Room Drop in to the South Yarmouth Library’s children’s room and participate in games on the Library’s Nintendo Switch that promote S.T.E.M-based learning! For ages 8-18. Play Mario Party, Game Builder Garage, Mario Maker 2, etc. Come on your own or bring a friend. This program is funded by a grant from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
