From the DirectorOctober is a lovely month on Cape Cod and any warm, sunny day is worth getting out and enjoying with friends and family. Enjoy it while you can! Library Planning Committee members and our Assistant Town Administrator had a chance to meet with our new consultant Constructive Disruption (CD) on Tuesday, September 26, in person, to kick off our Community Needs Assessment project. CD is working on a community survey that focuses on library space and services. We are fortunate to also have at hand the Town of Yarmouth’s Visioning Project results from last year and the draft Recreation and Open Space Plan report that has been done this year. We have shared this community data with our consultant as we continue to learn what people want and need in library collections and staffing, as well as physical space, programs and services. Stay tuned for more information. Jane Cain Library Director
