From the Director:October on Cape Cod is indeed a lovely month. The evenings are cooling off and it’s great weather for a hike on a Cape Cod trail. Robert Finch’s September talk on the Outer Beach of Cape Cod inspired me to get to the lower cape and explore. Sunday hours at the South Yarmouth Library started up again after Labor Day, and the Saturday hours at West Yarmouth Library finish up on September 30. It felt to me like a successful experiment in extending service hours to Saturday in West Yarmouth. Staff and I are hopeful this becomes a more permanent arrangement with the budget approval process for the next fiscal year. We’d appreciate your letting us know how you felt about the additional hours – or anything about the Library – any time. -Jane Cain Library Director
