The Dennis and Yarmouth Town Libraries join together to celebrate the 200th birthday of Henry David Thoreau. Dr. Michael Thurston, of Smith College, explores how Thoreau develops his complex understanding of nature and its value to society, not only as the source of “tonics and barks which brace mankind,” but also as a beneficiary of human attention.

Musical Discoveries

A musical experience for the whole family! For infants to 5-year-old children and their caregivers. Classes incorporate singing, small and large motor movement, instruments and fun. Classes are FREE and are held in the Leonard Room. Sunday Author Series: Donald Nelson Chappaquiddick Tragedy

Was there a second passenger in the Kennedy car on that fateful night in 1969? Join us for the Sunday Author Series and listen to local author Donald Nelson explain his research and theories in Chappaquiddick Trajedy : Kennedy’s Second Passenger Revealed. Mr. Nelson consulted 204 sources over a two-year period to produce the book. Reservations to this popular series are recommended. Funded by the South Yarmouth Library Association.
