Programs this week at the Yarmouth Town Libraries

Annual Town Meeting
Saturday, May 5, at the Mattacheese School
Starting at 9 a.m.

The Library has applied to the Yarmouth Community Preservation Committee for grant funding to collaborate with the towns of Barnstable and Dennis on digitizing the Register newspaper – Yarmouth’s weekly local newspaper since 1836, and the Barnstable Patriot, to complete the digitization of the run of that publication. The Patriot has been available in digital format through the Sturgis Library website for several years for the time period up to 1933. With approved funding, to be voted on at the May 5 Town Meeting, these two historical newspapers, covering news and cultural insight, through the history of Cape Cod and beyond, will be keyword-searchable from any computer in the world!
