From the Director:It’s August already. It is important that you know we are having the main walkway at the South Yarmouth Library replaced – starting the week of August 6. That’s coming right up! You’ll want to park in the Mill Lane lot and the entrance will be on the southwest side of the building. You will have to bring all returns into the building, as our book drop will not be accessible. If this inconveniences you, we will waive any late fees during the week of the walkway project, but otherwise, it is business as usual. Questions? Call me at (508) 760-4820, ext. 1312. -Jane Cain, Library Director Yarmouth Town Libraries

Have You Been to the Little Corner Bookstore at the South Yarmouth Library? The South Yarmouth Library Association organizes a great ongoing book sale in the northwest corner of the main floor – over near the newspaper and magazine area. They accept donations of gently used books for all ages – in good condition, and free from must and mold. Most items are $1.00 or less. With proceeds from the sale of these books, SYLA funds many programs at the library, provides a number of museum passes for free or reduced entrance to many places of learning, and contributes to staff and community events – the “icing on the cake,” here at the library. It is open whenever the South Yarmouth Library is open, and you pay at the front desk. Come browse the Little Corner Bookstore!
At the West Yarmouth Library, there is an ongoing book sale, too, on the shelves near the front door. An affordable way to make sure you always have something to read and a great way to support the library!
