From the Director:Greetings, and happy 2019, everyone! Reflecting on 2018, I am happy with the Library’s progress. Children’s programs, interactive learning opportunities, and enriching experiences are thriving under Connie Marr and Melissa Cabral-Seabury’s direction. And although technology training happens informally every day for our Library visitors and for staff, the number of 1-on-1 scheduled training sessions with Trish Cassisi is at an all-time high. The Library is experimenting with new formats, thanks to new ideas and suggestions from Chris Kaufmann. Playaways continue to be popular, along with “binge boxes” of groups of movies on DVD. The circulation desks are busy at both South Yarmouth and West Yarmouth locations. Our continued participation with the All-Age-Friendly Yarmouth team keeps our minds open to new opportunities to serve the public. It doesn’t get much better than that. Here’s to continued growth in the new year. - Jane Cain Library Director
