Elephant and Piggy Story Time

From April 29 - May 5, children, families, entire schools, and communities will rediscover the joys of life beyond the screen. Screen-Free Week is an event where kids and families pledge to turn off their TV and other electronic devices for the week and explore new activities that promote social, physical, academic and creative development. Please join the M.E. Small Community at the West Yarmouth Library for an Elephant and Piggy story time with literacy coach Shannon Carlson as Piggy!

2019 Cecelia Siemen Scholarship
Open for Applications

Applications to the South Yarmouth Library Association are due on Tuesday, April 30. Drop off applications at the South Yarmouth Library.
The South Yarmouth Library Association offers a $3,000 Cecelia Siemen Scholarship in the Visual Arts, to advance the study and knowledge of someone in the visual arts. Applicants must have completed one academic year at a college or art institute by the end of the school year in which the scholarship is offered.

Applications are available now at the South Yarmouth Library or from the Library website. Applications include the completed form, course work transcripts, three (3) letters of recommendation, a portfolio, and personal statement.
