From the Director:July on Cape Cod – it is wonderful! Town Offices (including the Library Division) will be closed Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, for the Independence Day holiday. The Libraries will be open on Saturday, July 6. No overdue fines will accrue on the 4th or the 5th. - Jane Cain Library Director

Summer Reading Program Kick-off Event at West Yarmouth LibraryMonday, July 1, 2:00 p.m. West Yarmouth Library A rousing, energetic, interactive concert with fiddling, a sing-along, and a rhythm band. You’ll hear familiar songs and new songs, too. This is spirited fun that will knock your socks off! Outdoor games, face painting, watermelon and fun for all ages. This event is co-sponsored by the South Yarmouth Library and West Yarmouth Library Associations. Many thanks to Ryan Gillis of Bayside Tents for providing the tent! For all ages; children under 8 need to bring an adult.

Summer Musical Discoveries Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m., July and August South Yarmouth Library A musical experience for the whole family! For infants to 5-year-old children and their caregivers. Singing, small and large motor movement, instruments and fun! Classes are FREE. Our thanks to the South Yarmouth Library Association for funding this popular family program. Please note: No Musical Discoveries on Tuesday, July 9.

The Village Crafters Fair and Book Sale at the West Yarmouth LibraryThursday, July 11, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.Every summer, the Village Crafters set up their canopies and offer up locally made arts and crafts on the lawn at the West Yarmouth Library. And on that day, the West Yarmouth Library Association sets up a book sale, and prepares hot dog lunches in front of the building -- all at a reasonable price. Stop by and get your Christmas shopping started! See you at the Library.
