West Yarmouth Library closed the week of October 21West Yarmouth Library will be closed the week of Monday, October 21, through October 25, for new carpet installation, and will re-open on Monday, October 28, at 11:00 a.m. The South Yarmouth Library will be open the week of October 21, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and open during our regular hours on Friday through Sunday. Teen Café: Ideas and Ice CreamSaturday, October 5, 1:30-3:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library For grades 7 and up. Our new teen group is forming to chat about ideas for making the Library a place to connect with friends, technology and community. Join us for fun, snacks and conversation. All teens are welcome! Registration is not required.

Family Story TimeMonday, October 7, 6:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library For all ages. Join us for stories, songs and stretches. Wear your pajamas and bring a favorite stuffie. Registration is not required.

Sewing ClubWednesday, October 9, 6:00-7:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library For grades 5-8. This new hands-on skill building series will be offered on the second Wednesday of the month. Learn classic hand sewing techniques to create projects for fun or to give as gifts. This month we will make Frankenstein creatures. The Library provides all the materials. Bring a friend! Registration is recommended.

International Day of the GirlFriday, October 11, 10:30 a.m. South Yarmouth Library For grades 5-8. Cape Cod Regional Tech Cosmetology Department will be offering a workshop that will teach young women braiding, paraffin treatments and manicure techniques, followed by a Q&A session. Registration is strongly recommended.

Lego® Club Wednesday, October 16, 6:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library For all ages. Children under 8 need to bring an adult. The Library provides all the Lego®s. Bring your creativity and a friend! Registration is not required.

Playing on Purpose: Integrated Parent-Child Sessions 5 week program.Starting Friday, October 18, 10:00-11:30 a.m. South Yarmouth Library Parent Workshop: Introduction session and interactive workshop for all caregivers. Join us as we discuss strategies to make playtime more purposeful for you and your child. Some of the topics to be be discussed:
- Your child’s social & emotional development.
- How to strengthen your relationship with your child.
Other P.O.P. sessions are October 25, November 1, November 8 and November 15. For birth to 8 years old and their caregivers. NEW! Borrow A Hot Spot: Take The Internet With YouThe Yarmouth Town Libraries now offer wi-fi hotspots for patrons to borrow! Take the internet with you wherever you go, cut down on data charges on your cell phone, and keep your life up and running during a power outage. Wi-fi hotspots are available to all adults with a library card in good standing and can be kept for up to one week. This service is possible thanks to funding from the South Yarmouth Library Association.
