What will you make by using cardboard, some too.ls and your imagination? The possibilities are endless! Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. adventure! Registration is not required. For all ages. Children under 10 need to bring an adult.

Integrated Parent-Child Sessions
5 week program

Friday, October 25, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
South Yarmouth Library

Parent Workshop: Introduction session and interactive workshop for all caregivers. Join us to discuss strategies to make playtime more purposeful for you and your child. Some of the topics to be discussed:

  • Your child’s social and emotional development
  • How to strengthen your relationship with your child


Other P.O.P. sessions are November 1, November 8 and November 15.
It is recommended that you attend all remaining sessions. This program is made possible through a grant from The Peter & Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation and is supported by a grant from the Department of Early Education and Care. Hands-on learning with real world applications! Exploration stations will include, Science: interactive experiments, Technology: Makey-Makey, Engineering: building, Art: express your creativity, Math: M&M graphing. Registration is not required. For all ages. Children under 10 need to bring an adult.

50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts

This Sunday, October 27, 2:00 p.m.
South Yarmouth Library

Learn about the many eastern Massachusetts locations for great hikes – including Cape Cod – from Travel and Leisure writer Madeline Bilis. Written for all skill and experience levels, you will find inspiration for hiking in our great state. Refreshments will be available. Funded by the South Yarmouth Library Association.

A musical experience for the whole family! Appropriate for infants to 5-year-olds and their caregivers. Classes incorporate singing, small and large motor movement, instruments and fun. Classes are FREE.
